Crowdfunding my favorite band – free book giveaway

My favorite band PERSEFONE have launched a crowdfunding campaign for their new upcoming album AATHMA.

AATHMA will be the 5th studio album of the Andorran Progressive Technical Deat Metal band. Their style, themes, and virtuosity can only be described with superlatives. Even if you’re not a fan of metal, or of their specific and unique sound, be sure to give them a listen and help them raise the money so they can hit the studio and get that new album out ASAP!

To make things more interesting for you, I’m throwing in a free book with every pledge of at least €10. You can pledge as little as €8, but every amount over that will get you all kinds of goodies, including the album, shirts, hoodies, and even a meet and greet with the band or a guest appearance on your own band’s album.

So, let’s summarize:

  • Head over to Verkami and support Persefone’s crowdfunding campaign.
  • Forward the confirmation email to me, showing you have pledged at least €10
  • Have a free pick from any of my books, including my new project which will be coming soon

Need any more reasons to be convinced: Check out the official video of Spiritual Migration of their previous eponymous album:

P.S. Yes, you read that right: I’m working on a new story, and it will be ready soon. Stay tuned for more news.

Stephen Bolt’s review of The Haircut + introducing his novel Seeds

Stephen Bolt is the author of dystopian fusion novels in which he pours his unique perspective on life and mixes it with elements from speculative fiction, fantasy, and suspense. The result is a genre-defying style you’ll never encounter anywhere until you take a chance and pick up his book Seeds.

Being an avid reader, he came across The Haircut, and took a chance.

I’m extremely glad that he did because his opinion elevates my book to heights I had never dreamt of.

A ‘random’ selection of quotes from his review:

A cut above the rest

I found the writing of this piece to be top notch

Lucy’s voice as the narrator was wonderfully effective

I would highly recommend this sensuous, sexy story

Now I know it may look like I’m cherry picking, only quoting the positive things. You’ll just have to go and read his complete, 5-star review.

Be sure to check out his book Seeds, available at Amazon on Kindle and in paperback.

Their world is ruled by ruthless Petroleum Barons. Strict social order is kept in the streets by brutal Enforcers. Unbridled Scientists have been commissioned to take genetic modification to Frankensteinian levels. And the frequent attacks of pillaging Outlaws keep citizens beholden to an exploitive system. Savina is a concubine and bodyguard, a role she was unwillingly forced into at a vulnerable age. Anax is their Master, but only because he, thanks to Shade and Savina, survived an attack meant to kill them all. Suddenly finding themselves swept up in a revolution they never knew existed, each must make an important choice that will map the course of their future. But they soon learn that joining the cause is not simply a matter of taking up arms and marching to the front. To prove their worth they must visit the enigmatic Engineer and undergo a mysterious test. Join Shade, Savina, and Anax as they navigate the perils of their unfortunate circumstances. Experience a wondrous journey of self discovery, eerie dreams, unleashed magic, and cross-species breeding. Then brace for the ultimate challenge when these three must confront their most terrifying demons with only two possible outcomes: death, or victory.

Naughty Book Snitch – Review of The Haircut

Reading a review from one of the Naughty Book Snitches is always a treat, and when it’s a review of your own book, you better pay attention. These ladies read and review erotica almost for a living, so they know what they’re talking about. Always fresh and candid, their opinionated pieces are a form of entertainment in their own right.

Well, it should be obvious by now their review was a good one, otherwise, I wouldn’t be praising them into Walhalla :p

I don’t know how many times I’ve read this review now since it aired yesterday, but enough times to almost know it by heart.

Oh, off the top of my head:

Lusty Soul is talented when it comes to weaving her magical words together to form very interesting tales that keep you glued to the pages

The scenes are described so well, that you almost feel that this is the first time that you’ve read anything like this

Lusty Soul has a way with weaving words together so perfectly that she can create magic

Lusty Soul is an extremely talented author

It just goes on and on. I know a writer ought to be modest and not blow her own horn, but there’s nothing wrong with repeating it when someone else blows my horn, right? 😀

Well, excuse me while I go write another story.

Sakura’s review of The Haircut

By now, it’s no longer a secret that The Haircut is a transgender romance novelette. The first review it got even before publication was by Isabella, who is a trans woman herself. She also writes transgender erotica and has recently made the jump to the big league in this specific genre by venturing into the Futa realm.

Another review I was looking forward to was by another seasoned expert of the transgender genre, Sakura Von Sternberg. Her book Slumberparty Succubus—reviewed by me here—was the first book I read that featured characters of dubious sexuality. This opened up a whole new spectrum of literary possibilities for me, and together with Isabella’s book TransMission, prompted me to create my first transgender character.

So far, the reviews have been amazing. 5 stars across the board, and praising comments not only on my language and story line but also on the credibility of my heroines and the erotic tension between them.

With an opportunity for me to learn a few new words comes Sakura’s review, adding another 5 stars for my new book The Haircut. Needless to say, I’m excited and honored in equal measure by her recognition of the effort and care I spent in giving life to Elbe. The research I put in before starting my first draft paid off, that much I can gladly conclude.

Check out Sakura’s review here.

My review of Compatible Gardens – Angora Shade

I got hold of a pre-release copy of Compatible Gardens by Angora Shade. This short story will be released on Wednesday December 9, and I was asked to read and review it.

The download links will follow once it’s released. Be sure to also check out Angora’s other books, especially her latest Cat Games.

Now, about Compatible Gardens. It’s a 7000 word, female on female short story about a young college student that has a little game she plays during her dreaded bus rides. She gives names to the people on the bus, and gives them a role in their very own story, that she makes up. But that day, she gets pulled into a story of her own as a particularly large and rude man pushes a pretty girl into her lap. What happens next…well, you’ll just have to go and find out for yourself. If you read my review beyond this point, you will encounter spoilers though. You have been warned.

I was asked to be honest and give my blunt opinion, whether I liked it or not.

I liked it a lot, but I was only mildly aroused. This story isn’t a quick-rub instigator. I didn’t have the urge to go find some privacy and scratch an irresistible itch, but I suspect this wasn’t the aim of the story at all.

What I did feel was a certain involvement. My sympathy with the main character was genuine. I was rooting for her during the entire time it took me to read the story, which was about as long as the bus ride, and about as long as she needed to be brought to an unexpected climax by a pretty stranger that was so rudely forced into her little fantasy game.

This is where the story left me a little wanting. The build-up was brilliant, the anticipation and conflict of our heroine palpable. But the actual climactic moment had passed me by almost unnoticed. I actually had to go back and read a few paragraphs again to make sure it had actually happened. It had, and I felt that here, Angora’s choice of imagery—although beautiful and captivating—failed to ignite the pilot flame in my belly.

angoraOnce the ultimate moment—in all its modesty—was over, so was the bus ride. Protagonist and antagonist went their separate ways, only to be joined again in a happy, though not surprising, final happenstance that did put a smile on my face. I’m sure that the continuation of this little urban frivolity could inspire quite a few follow-up stories a lot more passionate and knickers-moistening than Compatible Gardens.

So, is this a good story? Absolutely! Beautifully written, captivating, inspiring. Read this story, it will put a smile on your face. If your lover is close by, give them a hug and a big kiss, and enjoy the rest of your day. I’m sure wetting your panties isn’t what Angora was after with this one.

A solid 4.5 out of 5 for literary value. And to borrow Naughty Book Snitch’s Flames Rating Scale, I would give it 2 flames out of 4 for hotness.

Review ~ Spicy Dinner for Three by Lusty Soul | Naughty Book Snitch

via Review ~ Spicy Dinner for Three by Lusty Soul | Naughty Book Snitch.

Another review for Spicy Dinner for Three, this time from respected erotica review collective Naughty Book Snitch.

Let’s highlight some of her thoughts…

“Oh my word… I have NEVER read a better description of a blow job in my life!”

“It’s so good that I want to go back and reread it.”

“I would most definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys ménage with masturbation worthy material.”

She also included some personal subjective feedback on less appreciated parts of the story, something that I will certainly take into account.

Overall, I think this is the kind of review every author would want a dozen of. It certainly motivates me to continue. On to the next story!
